The Zoo is full of fun side quests for you to further your walk into the wild, all of which are free with admission!

The Awareness Amphitheater

Come by for our amphitheater presentations provided daily (weather permitting) at 11:00am in our Awareness Amphitheater! These talks are free with your zoo visit and give you the chance to have a close encounter with one of our ambassador animals and learn all there is to know about them!

Location: Just past the covered bridge and next to the railroad crossing.

Wetland Experience

A natural wetland ecosystem with plants and fish native to Michigan wetlands. Plunge below the surface in the underwater viewing area, feel like a beaver as you explore the crawl-through “beaver dam", take a wiggly-walk on the Wobbly Bridge, and enjoy a serene waterfall as you enjoy the up-close and personal Wetland Experience.

Swing like a capuchin in Monkey Jungle, climb Kilimanjaro Mountain, slide down Tree Top Lodge or race a cheetah on the Cheetah Run while Mom and Dad take a seat and relax under the Animal Pavilion!

Location: In between the Contact Yard and Wild In Nature building.

Loons Baseball Diamond

Faceoff against your friends in a game of baseball and feel like a pro as you run the bases overlooking our beautiful pond!

Location: In between the Fowl Shack and Alligator Habitat, and across from the Vet Clinic.

Fossil Find

Fossil Find is a place where adults can take a seat and relax, while children become world-famous paleontologists as they uncover dinosaur bones and learn about the discovery of prehistoric animals!

Location: In the Train Plaza across from the Prairie Dob Habitat.
