This summer the Saginaw Downtown Development Authority (DDA) will provide a unique opportunity to experience the numerous cultural attractions in Downtown Saginaw.
The DDA and seven cultural institutions have partnered to create Downtown Saginaw Discovery Days. Running three Saturdays this summer, groups of four can purchase one pass for $20 ($7 per additional person). Passes provide transportation between locations and entrance to all participating institutions between 10am and 4pm that day. Day passes are not required to use transportation.
The bus, run by Mitchell Motorcoach,Ltd., will stop at each location throughout the day: the Saginaw Art Museum, the Castle Museum, the Temple Theatre, the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum, the Children’s Zoo, the Japanese Cultural Center and Hoyt Public Library.
From 10am to 12 noon, local Saginaw historian, Tom Trombley, will provide area information on the bus and at 12 noon will provide a History and Architectural walking tour of Old City Saginaw.
Passes will be available at the Temple Theatre box office at 203 N. Washington Ave. and online at templetheatre.com prior to the Discovery Days. Day of ticket purchases also available at the box office. Watch for more information, including special programs at each location and bus schedule, online and in the news!
