Animals

From our rescued wildlife to our endangered species, and everything in between, we LOVE animals!

The Saginaw Children’s Zoo is home to more than 150 mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates (not counting the insects) year round! They mean the world to us. Each is named and cared for by our amazing zookeepers and veterinarian. Like you, we feel quite a thrill when we observe their habitats, watch them eat and play, and interact with them.

While visiting the Zoo you may run into a few of our feathered friends walking the beautiful gardens and walkways. Peacocks and peahens roam our Zoo grounds, as do the ducks around the large pond. Our aviary also features birds in free flight.

Our exhibits are designed with the animals in mind. Just like you, we want them to be happy, healthy and enriched with lots of ways to play and move.
